Roger Merchant has spent more than 20 years helping people throughout the Shenandoah Valley with their hearing needs. Over that time, he has become a familiar and trusted face to many patients and families — the kind of provider who knows the technology, but also knows how to sit down, listen, and make the process feel a lot less overwhelming.

Roger brings a steady, practical approach to hearing care. He enjoys helping patients understand what is happening with their hearing, what their options are, and how the right hearing aids can fit into real everyday life. His goal is to make better hearing feel less complicated and more personal.

Roger has known the Hearing At Home team for many years, and we are excited to have him join us. His experience, easygoing personality, and heart for helping people make him a natural fit for the way we care for patients.

Outside of work, Roger is a musician who loves to sing and play the piano — so sound is not just part of his job, it is part of who he is. He knows the difference between simply hearing noise and truly enjoying sound, whether that is a favorite song, a familiar voice, a note on the piano, or the laughter around the table. That personal connection gives Roger a special appreciation for helping people get back more of the sounds they have been missing.
