How To Fix Common Problems With The Resound Smart 3D App

In 2020, Hearing at Home launched a telehealth service called Access Video Audiology Care (AVA Care). During an AVA Care appointment, you’ll have a video visit with your hearing care professional through a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Hearing at Home puts people over profits; AVA Care is a service for everyone. You don’t have to be an existing patient to schedule an initial consultation with AVA Care.

Also, if your hearing aids are compatible with the ReSound Smart 3D App, your hearing specialist can adjust them remotely using the app’s ReSound Assist feature.

We’ve put together this troubleshooting guide to address the most common problems users have with the app.

BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING

You can prevent many problems with simple phone maintenance. First, it’s important to keep your phone software up to date. At least once every week, restarting your smartphone is a good practice. Restarting also helps if you’re having problems with phone calls or wireless streaming.

Before you go to the ReSound app, close your other apps. Also, refresh your Bluetooth by turning it off and turning it right back on.

PROBLEMS WITH CALLS OR WIRELESS STREAMING ON ANDROID

If restarting your phone didn’t resolve the issue, try deleting the app and reinstalling it. Should the trouble continue, the next step is reconnecting your hearing aids to the app.

Method 1

• Click on the ‘More‘ tab in the ReSound app.
• Turn on ‘Demo Mode.’ Then turn it off.
• Wait for ‘Found Hearing Aids‘ to appear.
• Now restart your hearing aids. Take rechargeable ones out of the charger and put them back. For battery-operated hearing aids, take out the battery, then reinsert it.
• Wait for pairing. Press Continue.

Method 2

• Open the ReSound app.
• Click the ‘More‘ tab.
• Press ‘Pair New Hearing Aids‘.
• Wait for ‘Found Hearing Aids‘ to appear.
• Now restart your hearing aids. Take rechargeable ones out of the charger and put them back. For battery-operated hearing aids, take out the battery, then put it back.
• Wait for pairing. Press Continue.

CONNECTING YOUR HEARING AIDS TO YOUR IPHONE

Follow these simple steps.

1. 1. Go to ‘Settings‘ on your phone.
   2. Press ‘Accessibility‘.

Press ‘Hearing Devices‘.

1. If you’re connecting your hearing aids for the first time, skip to step seven.
2. If you’re reconnecting them, press Your Name’s Hearing Aids.
3. Scroll down and press ‘Forget Device.’
4. Turn off your hearing aids. Remove the battery or put it in the charger.
5. Turn on your hearing aids. Insert the battery and close the compartment. Or take a rechargeable hearing aid off the charger.
6. Wait for Your Name’s Hearing Aids to appear. Then triple-click the Home button at any time to show hearing aid options.
7. To pair your hearing aids, press Pair once if you use one hearing aid. Press Pair twice for two hearing aids.

RESOLVING TROUBLE WITH THE RESOUND APP

Again, closing and reopening the app or restarting your phone frequently eliminates problems. If you’re still having trouble with the app, try one of these tips.

• Check if you have ReSound Smart or ReSound Smart 3D. Then delete the app and reinstall it.
• Click the ‘More‘ tab in the ReSound app. Turn ‘Demo Mode‘ on. Then turn it off. Restart your device.
• Go to ‘Settings.‘ Scroll down. Select ‘Smart or Smart 3D‘. Then make sure Bluetooth is on.
