Other info

Born in Mineola New York. She grew up living in many places as her father is a retired Colonel in the Air Force. She enjoys nature and all the beautiful seasons, animal life and landscapes on our marvelous earth.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I know this will sound silly, but, I’ve always wanted to be a mother. In fact, I met my husband (June will be our 47th anniversary) at Florida State University and often tease him saying “I only went to college to get my MRS degree”.

If you could have dinner with three people, who would they be?

Hmmm, can’t narrow that down to 3 people. Love having meals with family and friends, preferably at home.

What is your favorite movie of all time?

The Princess Bride jumps to mind first. All of my kids loved that movie and would break out with lines from the movie often. Now that I’m older, I have to admit I have really enjoyed the Poldark series. He’s so “Pol” “dark” and handsome.

What is your favorite food to eat?

Oh my, this is a hard one because I am such a FOODIE. I love it all…Mexican, Italian, Seafood! We’ve always had a garden (now that we live in town it’s more like a salsa garden). I’m really into all things sourdough and bake regularly from my starter named Prudence. AND of course I really enjoy food with dry white wine (especially Chardonnay) or Rose.

Where is your dream vacation destination?

I’ve always wanted to travel in Europe and visit all the wineries and champagneries (is that a word?). Would also love to go to the Grand Canyon and see Niagra Falls.

What do you like to do when you're not working?

Wishing I had more time to be in the kitchen…baking, cooking or canning; spending time with family (granddaughter lives across the ally from me); sewing, and my volunteer work.

What makes you laugh the most?

I guess reminiscing about my children’s antics when they were younger, like checking my son’s pockets before throwing in the washer and finding a frog. I couldn’t wait to get up in the morning and see what the kids would do or say that day…wish I had kept a journal.

What would you sing at Karaoke night?

I DON’T DO KARAOKE…what I mean is I love being there but not participating as I can’t sing and I especially don’t like being in front of people.

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

Paper and pen as I’m a BIG list maker (maybe a tad OCD?), or maybe lemons because they make everything (water, seafood, etc) better.
