I have worked for different practices in the Harrisonburg VA area, both private practice and corporate companies. Through those years I have enjoyed forming relationships with many clients in the Shenandoah area and helping then with their hearing needs. However, in 2016 my business partner and I decided to open our own practice to so that more could be done for the people we encountered on a daily basis. Through the years I have learned that helping people with their hearing needs that it is never just about selecting the right hearing aid but involves much more.
When human beings experience hearing loss or tinnitus, it is not uncommon for their lives to slowly unravel, even at times causing severe depression. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through such terrible experiences related to auditory damage. I help my clients, who include young people, adults and families, with hearing related issues to learn to enjoy life again and to strengthen their relationships with friends and family through better hearing so they can once again feel complete, whole and safe. I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a wide range of hearing devices and tinnitus therapy to bring relief to everyone I encounter. This is my belief and the core reason why Hearing At Home was brought into existence.
Due to my passion and desire for helping people, I am also involved in a Global Healthcare Missions Project that brings better hearing to those in need all over the world! Helping people in such places as Mexico, Panama, Guatemala and Europe has brought so much fulfillment in my life. When I am not helping people in other parts of the world, you can find me involved with local missionary work.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Good question – funny thing is I don’t have an answer. So I called my parents (which they both laughed) and asked them the question. My parents said that I even though they asked, I never really knew until one day when I worked outside with some people we knew doing yardwork, I came home and said “whatever I do when I grow up won’t be working outside!” I guess that inspired me as I pursued a career in computer software programming which is an excellent compliment to programming hearing aids!
If you could have dinner with three people, who would they be?
I’m all over the map on this one but stay with me! 1) Daniel from the bible. It blows my mind that a human being can have such a close relationship with God that he was called by God a precious man (very desirable, highly esteemed) and also called Daniel a friend. 2) Jimmy Fallon – now who wouldnt want to sit at a table with this guy – he’s a nut. Sure to be a fun dinner! 3) Leonardo da Vinci. How does one person excel in invention, drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy… Would love to have heard him speak. His mind was incredible but he had no formal education. Mind blowing…
What is your favorite movie of all time?
Now I am a movie nut. I like all kinds – really depends on my mood so it really is difficult to pick just one to be a favorite. So I’ll go with a movie that not only touched my heart but helped me understand something very profound. This movie helped me to see how we all have the power and ability to change peoples lives for the better. It is a film which can really represent different moral and philosophical issues for many different people however I choose to focus on the impact the teacher had on his students. This film is called “Dead Poets Society”. In my opinion a must see classic that takes you on a roller coaster ride that is sure to leave a mark on you.
What is your favorite food to eat?
This is a hard one to answer! I am a foodie. I love all ethnicities and varieties of food. There is one food that holds a special place in my heart that makes me happy anytime of day or night and its sushi. When I am sitting at a table with a plate full of fresh sushi and hot green tea it just makes me smile and giggle!
Where is your dream vacation destination?
Galapagos Islands! Have you seen the pictures of the beautiful beaches and animal life! This is for sure on the top of my list to go one day…
What do you like to do when you're not working?
Love watching movies. All kinds. But as you know I love food so my wife Angela and I generally cook a meal together while enjoying a little “beverage” and then we pop in a movie. Oh and I musnt forget golfing – I love golfing.
What makes you laugh the most?
My brother. I never know what he is up to. Remember the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland? When you see him smile like that you know something just happened…and it probably wasn’t good!
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
Now this is one talent that was not passed out to me! If you want me to get the dogs and cats howling then put me on the stage haha!
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
COFFEE! Must have coffee! I love my coffee in the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes I even thinking about the cup I’m going to have the night before.
