The current COVID-19 situation is changing how we go about our daily lives. Social distancing and stay at home orders have restricted people from meeting in social situations in an effort to lower the virus’ transmission.

However, Hearing at Home Mobile Hearing Center is doing everything we can to ensure our patients’ personalized one-to-one hearing care is not interrupted.

We’re excited to introduce our innovative new “AVA Care Service” (Access Video Audiology) which has been launched to meet our patients’ changing needs.

Patients can continue to have their face-to-face meetings with their Hearing at Home hearing specialist via a video conference call which lasts for approximately 15 minutes. Patients will receive the same level of care and support as they would expect from an in-person appointment.

If you’re not an existing patient of Hearing at Home, fear not. Our AVA Care appointments are available to everyone in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Richmond, Lynchburg, and across the northeast who is experiencing problems with their hearing devices and require support from home. The AVA Care service is completely complimentary.

These appointments offer an easy solution for anyone who is seeking hearing health advice, support, or reassurance.

So What is AVA Care?

With an Access Video Audiology appointment, you can connect with your Hearing at Home hearing care specialists and engage in a face-to-face video conversation – all you need is a cell phone, tablet, or computer.

This service is especially ideal as we face uncertainty and restrictions on our movements due to the Coronavirus crisis. We know that many of our vulnerable patients will appreciate the opportunity to still have their face-to-face consultation with their usual specialists and stay up to date with their hearing healthcare and hearing aid devices.

Even if you aren’t a current patient of Hearing at Home, and you are concerned about your hearing or are having issues with your hearing aid devices, our no-obligation AVA Care appointments are extended to everyone in our community.

The best thing about this service is, if you currently wear the latest hearing aid technology, your hearing specialist can remotely adjust the hearing aid settings during these appointments.
